A Photo A Day Project
So I'm stealing this idea from a good friend, but I don't think she'll mind. It's my resolution this year to capture a special moment every day of something, anything, in our lives. I can't wait to look back over 2013 and see that it really is the little things that make life so great!

April 2013
Day 30:
Day 29:
Day 28
Finishing April off with beautiful weather. It's crazy that it has taken this long to feel like spring. We're enjoying it by eating some yummy Shepherd's Pie and iced tea on the patio. Can't wait for all the nights we'll be eating outside the rest of this spring and summer!
Day 29:
Bubbles!! These kiddos are obsessed with the bubbles. We had so much fun though. Even the dog gets in on it chasing them around the yard and popping the ones that land in the grass. I need to start buying bubbles by the gallon with as much as we go through!
Day 28
April showers bring May flowers right? Well we are certainly getting the showers! I'm ready for some nicer weather, sunny days, and definitely more pretty flowers (to take pictures of course!).
Day 27:
Baby girl had her third dance class today. She loves it so much! She talks about it all week long and can't wait for Saturday to get here.
Day 26:
Over three years after we bought this house, but after only two days worth of work...we finally got rid of our ugly puke green bathroom! I can't believe it took me this long to get around to doing it! I even changed out the light switches and the electrical outlet! Still need to paint the trim around the door and the door itself, hang a shelf or a cabinet and put up a picture or two, but it feels so much better now!!
Day 25:
Little bunny foo foo, hoppin' through the back yard. I wish the bunnies were out there all the time because I love taking their pictures!
Day 23:
My camera arrived back from Nikon repair today! YAY I hated being without it even though it was only 2 weeks! It felt like forever! I couldn't wait to get out and snap some pictures. Even though it was a wet and cloudy day, I was still able to get this lovely picture of the raindrops on a dandelion off our back porch!
Day 22:
Baby girl panicked when she saw this "bug" on her purse in the yard today. That's what happens when you leave your stuff lying around the yard I told her!
Day 20:
Day 19:
Dance Class #2! This girl loves every minute of it! She is so precious to watch and really gives it her all! She tried her darnedest to get the other little girl in the class to participate today too. She wants her to enjoy it as much as she does!
Day 19:
Mmmmmm! First picture from my brand new phone tonight. Love the phone (and the drink!).
Day 18:
The day after the hail storm and we can really see the damage now. It was too dark last night to be able to see how bad it was. Definite call to the insurance company in our near future!
Day 17:
Wow-y! Are we sure it's spring? Major hail storm tonight and it really did a number on the house! =(

Day 11:
Somebody likes this as a hiding spot when the kids won't leave her alone. Too bad she's laying on an afghan in progress. I guess maybe it'll be a dog blanket now!
Day 15:
Tonight we made our first trip over to Ritter's Frozen Custard for a little after dinner treat. Even the dog got to go with us, but she doesn't get any of the ice cream! The kids had fun, a little too much fun maybe. Baby girl was still talking about her "pink" ice cream today!
Day 14:
I don't know why I was up early enough to see this sunrise, but it was a pretty one! I think sunrises are our reward for waking up early!
Day 13:
My baby girl started dance classes today! It was a combination of ballet and tap. She looked so adorable in her little leotard, tutu, and tights. She did so well for her first time at a class ever! She tried so hard and did everything she could! I was thoroughly impressed! I've got a little ballerina now!
Day 12:
Got my son some new undies today! We're all such nerds around here! I love that he loves Star Wars, and Doctor Who, and Star Trek, and all the other geeky sci-fi stuff that we love!!
Day 11:
I'm singing in the rain....just singing in the rain....what a glorious feeling..
Isn't she so darn cute! It was barely raining, just kind of misty out really but she thought it was the perfect opportunity to pop the umbrella open. I can't say no to that cuteness!
Day 10:
I don't have a picture today. I'm mourning the loss of my new camera. Not loss actually, just had to send it off to be repaired! Sniff...sniff. It's so sad!!
We made another trip to the zoo today and finally went to the gardens. I walked right past this fountain, but my son made me go back and look at it because he thought it was so cool. I'm so glad he did, because this turned out to be my favorite shot of the day!
Day 8:
I made this dice bag for my hubby over the weekend, and he made the knot and drawstring to finish it off. It turned out very neat, and I think we'll be making a few more soon!
Day 7:
I love that spring is finally here and flowers are popping up everywhere. These happen to be in our neighbors yard right now. Luckily the house is for sale and no one lives there right now because my daughter is obsessed with picking them!! We're working on the "look but don't touch" rule!
Day 6:
Luke...I am your father! Haha I love this so much! He couldn't wait to put on his new Angry Birds Star Wars shirt, and then had to pretend to be Darth Vader. He couldn't use his blue lightsaber and had to borrow Daddy's lightsaber for this picture because he knows that Darth Vader uses the red one.
Day 5:
I got my hair "did"! Love Love Love my stylist. He makes me look great every time, no matter what I ask for! This haircut was long overdue too. It had been over a year since I had it cut (except of course for the little layer my daughter cut in it the other day when she said she wanted to "brush" my hair!).
Day 4:
Today we took an amazing hike through Turkey Run State Park. It was BEAUTIFUL! The weather was perfect. Things were starting to turn green everywhere and we even saw a few flowers. But the highlight of the trail and definitely worth getting wet for were the waterfalls and the creek. This was my favorite photo of the over 600 I took today!
Day 3:
When the kids are away, the twins will play! I had a blast hanging out with my twin sister for an evening kid-free! Although this wasn't a picture I took, I figured it was better to post the pic of me rather than the one I took of her on my blog. Plus you get to see how long my hair is before I get it cut off in a few days!
Day 2:
The kiddos got some sidewalk chalk for Easter from Nana and Papaw. It's such a simple and cheap toy, but brings so much entertainment. They have a blast coloring every inch of the patio, but I'm just happy it gets them away from the TV and outdoors! I snapped a bunch of pics, but this close up of Ali's feet as she was standing admiring whatever it was she just drew was just precious to me.
Day 1:
Ah April Fool's Day. The day for jokes and pranks that know no bounds. This was the day my wonderful hubby chose to propose. He dropped down on one knee, gave a lovely speech, and asked me to marry him. But when he opened this box, it was empty. "Happy April Fool's," he said. He's lucky he had the ring in his pocket or wherever it was, otherwise this story would not have a happy ending!!
